DENVER, CO – Smiling Moose Deli would like to extend a moose-sized thank you to all who participated — guests, franchise owners and the news media — in two recent fundraising campaigns sponsored by the Colorado based fast-casual deli franchise. Supporting non-profit organizations, which promote food security and men’s health within local communities, has yielded much needed funds, raised awareness and encouraged camaraderie.
Over the month of October, the ‘Cookies for Colorado’ flood relief campaign donated funds for every cookie sold, generating enough money to supply 2,300 meals through Boulder County’s Community Food Share! Larry Hill, VP, Franchise Sales and Development, and Chris Lynne, Brand Manager, presented James Baldwin, CEO of Community Food Share, a check with the proceeds for the successful campaign. (See attached photo.) Smiling Moose Deli store locations in San Angelo, TX and Bozeman, MT were the leaders for this nationwide event.
Hot on the heels of the flood relief drive, Smiling Moose Deli’s Mo the Moose donned a moustache for the ‘Mighty Mo!vember’ campaign and helped to lead the charge to support men’s health and prostate cancer awareness by participating in the month long mustache growing event sponsored by the Movember Foundation. Store locations in Gillette, WY, Silverthorne, CO, and Evansville, IN were the leaders in this effort, which donated a portion of the proceeds from every Mighty Mo! sandwich sold to the Movember Foundation, raising a total of $1,600!
